Manage, administer, co-ordinate, program and monitor all activities including the activities of the consultants, contractors, direct procurement suppliers associated with the design, procurement, design build, testing, commissioning, completion and handing over from the Contractor to the client.
Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and contractors. Markets and secures additional work with client. Responsible for following up on instructions and commitments associated with the project.
Oversee establishment of Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.
Lead the Project and Construction Management Team in assessing all the administration, technical and financial issues pertaining to the project. Work with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project
meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
Work with the key project individuals to devise and execute actions plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and company management of any such changes.
Participate and chair executive meetings with the client to report and obtain instructions on all the issues that affecting the progress and /or cost.
Promote technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes. Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.
Establishes weekly meeting to review project status and formulate action items.
Develop and recommend to the client, with the assistance of the other consultants of the Project, strategies for the procurement of equipment, services, materials and the design build of the Project. The recommendations to the client shall include the number and scope of contracts and risk allocation.
Review and comment on Tender Documents prior to issue by client to verify that the various parts of the Documents are consistent and in accordance with clients’ requirements relating to cost, quality, procurement strategy and program and that the scope is compatible with other contract packages.
